Shutaf’s inclusion model is unusual – close to 75% of our children have special needs, with developmental issues as diverse as ADD, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities and general developmental delays, along with a 25% minority group of typically-developing children. The program is geared to the needs of children with special needs first while still being a program that can be enjoyed by their typically developing peers. Children are grouped together – mixed ages and disabilities – with a high staff-child ratio and extra support provided as needed.
