Campers come from a variety of educational settings to Shutaf programs. Children enrolled in special education programs finish their school year in mid-July leaving anywhere from 5-6 weeks of unscheduled time. Children attending general education programs, either in inclusion programs or typically-developing kids, finish in late June, leaving them 8-10 weeks of vacation. Camp is held in August for up to 3-weeks, for children, younger and older teens, ages 6-21.
Activities include music and movement, drama, arts and crafts, sports and games, special trips, swimming and group fun. Morning snack is provided each day. The camp day runs from 8:45am-2:00pm.
